Ingredients
  • 2 frozen cleaned tubes of squid
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sunflower oil
  • lemon wedges to serve
  • fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
  1. Grab 2 frozen tubes of squid and rinse under cold running water, making sure to rinse out the inside of the body, pat dry the squid with paper towels and cut each body into 1/2-inch thick slices, add the squid rings into a bowl and drizzle in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and set aside

Heat a fry pan with a medium-high heat and add 1/2 cup of sunflower oil, once the oil get´s very hot (about 3 to 4 minutes) start adding the squid rings, cook in batches to not over-crowd the pan, fry the rings for 1 minute per side, transfer to a plate with paper towels as you finish each batch
  5. Add the fried calamari to a serving dish, along with a couple wedges of lemon and garnish with some freshly chopped parsley, enjoy!
