Classic Reuben Sandwich #healthyrecipe #dinnerhealthy #ketorecipe #diet #salad

Wanna figure out how to make the best Reuben sandwich? Peruse on and get every one of my tips and deceives for the gooiest, most tasty Reuben you've at any point tasted. No outing to NYC essential!

However, who designed the Reuben? Regardless of this sandwich being emphatically connected with NYC, there is a great deal of contention over who really developed it. Some case it was Reuben Kulakofsky of Omaha, Nebraska, during the 1920s. Others unequivocally trust it was Arnold Reuben of New York City, during the 10s.

I'm not one to favor one side right now conversation, particularly one that can be so enthusiastic and passionate, so I'll let you choose for yourself. That being stated, I see myself as a New Yorker (not by birth, clearly, yet just by a solid feeling of having a place), so I can't resist the urge to pull for NYC on this one.

In any occasion, I am simply happy that somebody, either in the Midwest or in a New York City coffee shop, had the magnificent thought of joining such erratic fixings into a remarkable sandwich!

For whatever length of time that it's ooey gooey and stuffed with fixings (to the point that you can't eat it without making a tremendous chaos), it will be difficult to be frustrated with a Reuben sandwich!

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • Russian dressing (recipe follows)
  • 1 pound sliced (or shredded) corned beef
  • 1/2 pound (approximately 1 cup) sauerkraut, drained
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

RUSSIAN DRESSING:

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon grated or finely chopped shallot
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make the Russian dressing: Stir all the ingredients in a medium size bowl. Reserve.
  2. Assemble and grill the sandwiches:
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the other (unbuttered) side, generously spread Russian dressing.
  4. On half of bread slices, add corned beef and top with sauerkraut and cheese slices (2 per sandwich). Add more sauce, if desired. Top each sandwich with remaining bread slice, dressing side down.
  5. Preheat a large skillet or panini press, over medium-high heat. Place sandwiches in pan, working in batches if needed, and grill each sandwich for approximately 3 minutes per side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Cut each sandwich in half (for that classic deli look) and serve immediately!
